1. Name

The Group shall be called the "Wheelchair Fund".

2. Objects

The aims of the group is the relief of persons who are disabled.

3. Powers

In furtherance of this object and for no other purpose the group shall have the following powers:

To raise funds for the provision of wheelchairs and other aids to those identified disabled by the medical profession

To do other things such as may further the charitable purposes of the Group.

4. Membership

Membership is open to any person over the age of 18 years desiring to promote the aforesaid objectives.

5. Management

The affairs of the group shall be managed and controlled by the management committee. The management committee shall meet at least ten times per year and one of these meetings shall be the Annual General Meeting which shall normally be held in March but not later than 30th April.
Other meetings of the Group shall be held at such times as may be determined by the Management Committee.

6. Officers

The Management Committee shall consist of a Chair, Treasurer, Secreatry and any other officers as the Committee for the time shall consider necessary.
These posts shall be filled by the invitation of the Committee. The Committee shall reach its decision by a simple majority.

7. Quorum

The Quorum at a Committee shall be three members.

8. Special Procedures

If the Management Committee is unable to meet, then notification of resolutions must be sent in writing to all members of the Committee at least 14 days prior to a date specified by the Chair.
Committee members shall be allowed fourteen days in which to cast their votes, and any decisions shall be by a simple majority.

9. Annual General Meeting

The business of the Annual General Meeting shall include the election of officers for the year and the reception, approval and adoption of the Annual report and the Financial Statement of the Group for the year.

10. Finance

The Group may accept, borrow and raise money for the purpose of the Groups objectives by means of grants from Central and Local government Authorities, donations and legacies, subscriptions from individual members or persons or any other source. All monies so recieved shall be applied in the furtherance of all or any of the objectives of the Group.
No portion of such monies shall be paid to any member of the Management Committee other than the payment in good faith of reasonable remuneration to any officer or member of the Group in return for any services actually rendered to the Group.
The Management Committee shall maintain an account or accounts, in the name of the Wheelchair Fund, and at a Bank decided by the Committee.
All monies recieved shall be paid into those account/accounts. Withdrawls must be on the signature of two of the Officers of the Management Committee.

11. Alterations to the Rules and Constitution

The Constitution or rules or any part of them, may be added to, rescinded or amended by simple majority of the members present at any meeting, with the proviso that no alteration shall be made to the Objects of the Group without the consent of the Charity Commissioners.

12. Dissolution of the Group

The Group shall be dissolved in the event of the membership being less than three. In the event of the Group being wound up and there being any surplus funds not required for the fufilment of the Objects of the Group, such funds may, at the discretion of the Committee, be transferred to such other charitable organisations with objects similar to the Group.
